Hawaiʻi State Legislature hosts clothing drive

Members of the Hawaiʻi State Legislature hosted its annual clothing drive for our Dress for Success Program. The effort was organized by the office of Rep. Gregg Takayama (D-34 Pearl City, Waiau, Pacific Palisades) during the week of April 8-12.

Dress for Success volunteer, Ayshialyn Sabado, is titled Miss Aloha Spirit at the Miss Ewa Beach Plus 2024 competition. Sabado also received 2nd Runner Up in the Miss Hawaii Plus competition. She has used her platform to consistently advocate for DFS and the Bella Project in our effort toward making youth and women feel confident.

First Hawaiian Bank selects YWCA Oʻahu as campaign recipients

First Hawaiian Bank (FHB) selects YWCA Oʻahu as its charity of choice in their 2023 Kokua Mai Employee-Giving campaign. We received $9,354.00 to help support our programs and the women we serve.

University of Hawaiʻi Athletics donates to Dress For Success

The University of Hawaiʻi Athletics Department hosted a donation drive during the tip-off at the Bows’ women’s basketball game. The drive accepted gently used professional attire, plus shoes ad handbags.
