About Dress for Success Honolulu

For nearly twenty years, Dress for Success Honolulu has been empowering women and creating systemic change in their lives, their families, and our community. In an effort to ensure DFS can offer their invaluable services at no cost to their clients, today we are launching a two-month campaign asking for support from members of our community like you. DFS and YWCA O‘ahu appreciate any contribution that you are able to make—every little bit of support is vital to DFS operations.

Dress for Success Honolulu’s objective is to equip local women with the resources needed to attain long-term employment and success – so they can break the cycle of poverty and transform themselves and their families. Many of our women are transitioning out of challenging circumstances such as domestic violence, substance abuse, homelessness and incarceration.

Women come to Dress for Success hoping to simply receive free professional attire. However, they also gain a new network of support and additional resources including job coaching as well as professional and personal development opportunities.

Dress for Success Honolulu relies heavily on the generosity of its donors in order to empower these women to transform their lives and their family's. By strengthening the most vulnerable women in our community, we are also strengthening our community as a whole.
